Terrorists Killed 145 Individuals at Army School, Peshawar, Mostly Kids

However, the entire world has been facing the terrorists’ attacks, but this time terrorists did the most cowardly act by killing innocent students of between 12 to 16 years of age. The whole world has condemned this cowardly act of Taliban militants.  According to the Pakistan media reports, about 145 to 147 individuals were killed and among them about 132 students. Current reports say that around 10 school staff members were also killed in this vicious massacre. The horrible incident took place at Peshawar city, which is located only 120 kilometres far from the capital city called Islamabad. A group of coward Taliban militants killed 132 schoolchildren at Peshawar, Pakistan.

Since Taliban militants attacked a military school, thus most of the victims were the children of military personals. Experts always analyze that due to Pakistani military officials, Taliban militants have become so powerful. This incident has stunned the whole Pakistan, and now everyone in Pakistan wants to get rid of this destructive social system.

Pakistani School Attack – How Did It Happen?

Once the Taliban militants started killing the innocent kids, the Pakistani army reached on the spot within 15 hours. By the time the several hours-long officially siege at affected Army Public School as well as college ended Tuesday evening, 132 school kids and 10 teaching staff individuals and 3 soldiers, total 145 were killed on the spot Pakistani military spokesperson A. Bajwa explained. According to Mushtaq Ghani, information minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, about 100 individuals were badly injured, most with gunshot wounds.

However, the death toll isn’t including the terrorists who were responsible for attacking, bursting and killing innocent people. Within a few minutes, a group of mad terrorists killed almost 145 innocent people; most of them were young students. It is certainly the most horrible incident of Pakistani history. When Taliban militants attacked on the school, at that time students were facing the routine examination. Taliban militants killed the young children in Peshawar Army School within a few minutes. “They began shooting arbitrarily, “Bajwa explained, “and that was the reason maximum students were killed.”

Mohammad Khurrassani, a Pakistani Taliban speaker, said the terrorists scaled the army school’s walls about 10 a.m., with the intention of killing maximum possible number of young students.
There was a time when Taliban group has about 300 to 500 individuals just under their horrible custody, said Khurrassani who belongs to Tehreek E Taliban or TTP. However, initially officials thought that it was a hostage situation, but it was not true. Terrorists had no other aim but kill young kids at army school in Peshawar.

Once they started killing young, innocent school boys, Pakistani troops occupied the area by 4 p.m.; army personals confined the terrorist to adjacent four buildings. Some hours later, all the terrorists, total seven in number were killed by army.

Pakistani officials spent whole Tuesday night at the army school in Peshawar, a town located only 75 miles far from the nation’s capital called Islamabad. Officials were looking for victims, survivors and of course improvised horrible explosive apparatus established to worsen the slaughter.

As military people searched, they found that the army school’s principal was also among the militants’ victims. This inhuman act drew sharp condemnation from all the top Pakistani politicians, officials and of course military personals, who finally vowed that the nation won’t stop its war against the terrorism especially Taliban militants.

Why Terrorist Killed Innocent Students at Peshawar Army School?

It’s certainly the most important question when it comes to analyzing the reasons behind the attack. Experts say that it was Taliban’s revenge for killing of local tribesmen. Still, even by Taliban and Pakistan’s gruesome standards, the attack was certainly the most abominable till date.

It is regarded as the deadliest or most horrible incident inside the Pakistan territory since October 2007, when around 139 inhabitants died and up to 250 others were badly injured in a deadly attack adjacent to procession for exiled renowned former Prime Minister called Benazir Bhutto.

Not on the world but even a group of Taliban in country Afghanistan, along with which the notorious TTP is greatly affiliated, condemn the deliberate massacre of innocent young children in Pakistan as being against the holy Islamic principles. One of the Taliban groups’ spokesperson called Zabiullah Mujahid expressed the condolences to the victims of this attack.

The incident took place just after the peace talks between Pakistan’s Government and Pakistan Taliban as recently as previous spring. In fact, Pakistani Government released about 19 militants in a goodwill sign. However, the peace talks couldn’t achieve its motto as both Pakistan politicians as well as Taliban groups forced to stop peace talks. Therefore, due to corrupt politicians and hard-core Taliban militants, inhabitants of Pakistan had to face such a massacre.

Past Terrorist Attacks in Pakistan

Pakistan has witnessed lots of violence, many of it involving terrorists based in states, including North Waziristan, South Waziristan and the famous Khyber Agency. Remember, all restive areas in northwest Pakistan adjacent to Peshawar, connecting its border with country Afghanistan. It is the famous home ground for notorious TTP, a Taliban group that has sought to pressurise its traditional version of Islam religion in Pakistan.

This notorious Taliban gang has battled Pakistani army and, on several times, attacked innocent civilians as well. Peshawar, one of the oldest cities in Pakistan, with a population of three million, located just against the famous Khyber Pass, thus it has to face all the terrorist attacks. Terrorist repeatedly and intentionally targeted the town in response to military operations, such as 2009 truck bombing at Peshawar, frequented by children and women that killed about 100 individuals.

Now, this time Taliban didn’t hesitate to go after little schoolchildren. However, this is not the first time when Taliban targeted and attacked the kids, before the Peshawar army school attack, they also killed several children. The most famous example of Taliban’s cruelty is Malala Yousafzai. Malala, a teen-age girl was also shot on 9th of October in the year of 2012 by Taliban militants. The only fault of this youngest Noble Peace prize winner was that she tried to encourage young girls to choose better education and fight for girls’ rights. Since Malala was fighting for the girls’ rights and education, she became the softest target of coward Taliban terrorists.

Is Pakistan Responsible for This Situation?

This is certainly the most crucial question to answer. Some people say that it was Pakistan especially Pakistani army that promoted terrorism throughout the Asia, including Afghanistan, India and several other countries. On the other hand some people say that the main reason behind the present terrorism is the United States that trained the Jihadis during cold war in Afghanistan.

So, what do you think? Who is responsible for such massacre? Can Pakistan ever come out of Taliban’s trap? Will Pakistan learn lesson from this attack and stop spreading terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir? How Pakistan will deal with America and Taliban? We all need to find out answers to these questions to make our world a safer place to live in.
